After graduating from the University at Albany and gaining his bachelor’s in Information Science, Paul spent four years in the IT field as a network engineer working for a large-scale consultancy. He has since transitioned into the recruitment industry where he is able to leverage his valuable technical background to better understand the needs of both hiring managers and candidates in a complex and technical recruiting market.

What is the biggest problem your clients have when recruiting?
Time to hire. By the time our clients find candidates that are a great fit for their roles, they already have competing offers. By keeping on top of the market and staying in constant contact with active and passive candidates, I can connect hiring managers with great candidates within days, allowing them enough time to bring them through the interviewing and onboarding process.
What is the most important skill as a recruiter?
Being able to buildout a network in niche markets. You can always leverage these connections to keep you finger on the pulse of the market. A candidate that you have a close relationship with may not always be looking for a new role, but they often know someone with a similar skillset that is.
What are the values that drive you?
Dependability, reliability, efficiency, and transparent communication with clients and candidates.
