One of our clients is a mental health company that is expanding rapidly globally and seeking a highly motivated Data Privacy Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international privacy regulations, managing vendor relationships, developing and implementing data privacy policies, and contributing to policy development. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures that comply with international privacy regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential privacy risks and work with the team to mitigate them.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure that they comply with privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data privacy is embedded in our products and services.
  • Participate in training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of data privacy.
  • Stay up-to-date with privacy regulations and changes in the legal environment that may affect the company's operations.
  • Work collaboratively with legal counsel and other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to privacy-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data privacy with a strong focus on international privacy regulations, including the ability to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA).
  • Experience working with vendors and third parties to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex privacy concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
