Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of complex board-level systems
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including layout engineers, firmware developers, and product managers, to ensure successful design implementation.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to production, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Perform schematic design, component selection, and validation of circuits, considering signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal constraints.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to identify and address potential signal and power integrity issues.
  • Drive the bring-up and debugging of prototype hardware, working hands-on in the lab to troubleshoot and optimize designs.
  • Define and implement power management strategies for efficient operation and optimal power consumption.
  • Contribute to the development of power distribution systems, including AC/DC conversion and voltage regulation.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to establish design constraints and guidelines to ensure robust PCB layouts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from a renowned institute.
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, specifically in board-level design and power systems.
  • Strong expertise in designing for signal integrity, power integrity, AC/DC, power management, and power distribution.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing up and validating complex board-level designs in a lab environment.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) and analysis techniques for signal and power integrity.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for PCB design, layout, and manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex hardware issues.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team-oriented environment.
