Job Title: 
Manager of Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Enable, guide and motivate a team of cybersecurity architects and engineers to define strategy and execution of multiple cybersecurity functions, including but not limited to network, endpoint, cloud, data protection, identity/access, IaaS, SaaS and risk assessments

  • Act as technical owner and leader of specific projects, initiatives and functions of cybersecurity architecture and engineering

  • Coordinate and bring integrated value with other EIS verticals such as Operations, IAM, Risk, Governance, Controls Management, Awareness and Engagement, providing exceptional technical guidance and support across all cybersecurity domains

  • Partner with Information Technology groups tasked with supporting cybersecurity infrastructure to ensure strategies, product roadmaps, operational support models and all other aspects of cyber infrastructure meet required security standards

  • Support the cybersecurity risk assessment methodology by defining effective cybersecurity controls tied to standards to mitigate risk

  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery capability through automation and continuous improvement

  • Provide timely, accurate and actionable reporting on cybersecurity engineering and architecture activity, trending, service levels and areas of concern to executive management

  • Participate in cybersecurity and strategic planning to ensure cybersecurity technology and controls are a component of the company’s strategy

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to achieve corporate and divisional objectives, fostering talent, and breaking down silos in large scale enterprise environment (we prefer 2+ years of direct supervisory experience)

  • Broad and deep, technical cybersecurity and technology expertise, especially understanding technical and procedural security controls (including but not limited to: network security architecture, endpoint security, data security, identify and access control, etc.)

  • Desire and capability to maintain a strong “hands-on” personal capability with cybersecurity technology while also leading, guiding and developing other team members

  • Conversant in security and privacy regulations and compliance (e.g., GLBA, PCI, SOX, GDPR, CCPA)

  • Exceptional communication skills through both written and interpersonal situations with the ability to convey concepts and principle in executive presentations

  • Technical experience with cybersecurity controls in cloud environments

  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, etc. are a plus

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 10+ years of information security engineering, technology and/or an architect role, technical experience with cybersecurity controls in cloud environments, security networking, systems and applications, security standards, core security principles and technologies or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements. Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, etc. are a plus
