Embedded Engineer

Cybernetic Search has partnered with a leading electrical power company, which has operated for over 100 years. They are striving to continuously develop their simulations to ensure their business provides sustainable and reliable energy solutions to communities across the country.

They are looking for Principal Software Engineer who will come to ensure best practices and make an impact with their end-to-end development within the embedded systems. This person will have a track record of building and developing higher voltage devices and working within the industrial, robotics, and utility space.

This position is located in MA.

You should apply if you have:

• A minimum bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Passion to build a better sustainable future
• 8+ years of development of firmware and software
• Development experience within C/C++, Python, and Perl in embedded systems
• A minimum of 3+ years working in a leadership role.
• Professional knowledge in planning, estimation, and requirements management

• Major Plus:
• Working on hardware teams
• desire to learn about utility power systems
• FPGA/CPLD programming

What you’ll be doing:

• Consistently ensuring operational efficiency in internal processes and standards
• Communicating with stakeholders regarding technical issues and infrastructure needs.
• Designing and implementing software and hardware solutions for embedded systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional to integrate embedded systems into larger energy systems
• Testing and debugging embedded systems to ensure their reliability and performance
• Analyzing and troubleshooting issues with existing embedded systems and implementing solutions to address them
• Staying up-to-date with the latest embedded system technologies.
